A for Anarchy

A for Anarchy @ Augustus hotel, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Italy

curator: Federica Forti

With A for Anarchy Sala formalises a stay in Carrara in a piece of local marble produced by the last remaining anarchists in the quarries, giving a symbol of their own to those who have been working for the ruling classes for decades, perhaps the first time they have made a sculpture dedicated to their own ideology.
The anti-icon within the icon, the anti-symbol within the symbol. The artist once again takes advantage of the fissures of a stony structure to infiltrate and leverage, while the pieces that make up this proposal are incorporated into the overwhelming architecture that receives them, revealing the failures of the system that generated, among other things, all these constructions for the culture that we are having such a hard time providing.
