Dystopian Utopia, Niemeyer

Utopía distópica (site- specific): placed under the staircase, there is a series of hockey sticks with the titles of dystopic novels stamped on their handles. The raw power of a threatening element designed for playing that, in permanent contradiction, is used to pre- cariously underpin the solid structure of an outstanding building. This installation establishes a dialogue with the architec- ture of the Niemeyer Centre, it specifically seems to support the raised staircase, which serves as a symbol of a utopian architecture.
