NOmade Biennial Poland 2023 – “Beast on Fire” is an international exhibition of contemporary art, during which artists will create their works, going beyond the walls of art galleries. Leading and experienced artists and curators from South America, Europe and Asia are invited to the project, presenting works in situ, in relation to current and significant problems of the surrounding reality. This selection of artists offers a broad spectrum of possibilities for a current, fresh and culturally different look at universal contemporary art.

As part of the exhibition, interactive installations, performances and other works will be created and made available to a wide audience, both within the medieval walls of the EL Gallery, its courtyard, and in the public space. This is the first European edition of the artistic activities carried out by Arkadiusz Sylwestrowicz and Tomasz Matuszak in Chile and Ecuador in 2018, in cooperation with curators Hernán Pacurucu and Víctor Hugo Bravo, creators of the NOmade Biennial. The activities took the form of a confrontation between South American artists and artists from all over the world, in relation to current art issues. The main task of the project NOmade Biennial Poland 2023 -“Beast on Fire” is to promote contemporary art, which is not always easy to perceive. The task involves interdisciplinary activities, performances, creation of objects, sculptures and installations, video and performance, during which you will be able to see directly the whole creative process, while participating in it.
