The catchers

This installation is composed by 10 baseball gloves. Each one carries embroidered patches of 10 people more rich of the world according to the Forbes list of billionaires. The Catchers is developed as a constellation of power over a ball of baseball in which the world map has being pyrographyed. The installation based on the Forbes list of people more rich of the world develops top down and in a hierarchical scale, following the order of the list, as each week varies. As well as the list, the piece can mutate to changing a glove from one post to another, according to the weekly changes in the ranking. The catchers is an exercise of critical poetry focused on the articulation of the structure of a world out of joint, a dystopia which has already arrived, in which we are submerged for some time.
